Focus on the process rather than the results

Looking back, I've managed to overcome many challenges to pull myself out the abyss, back to who I am right now. (Overcome GRE challenges in senior year, complete MS applications in military service, and break language/culture/academic barriers last year). Each gap was not easy to across but I completed them with the belief: Why not give it a try if I have nothing to lose? However, the new challenges might be difficult and the new aim too high. I lost my confidence and started to doubt my abilities. I manage to stay gracefully in the daytime, but I suffocate in pressure during the night...

Stop!

From deep inside, I tell myself to remember who I was- Focus on the tasks, worry/anticipate nothing about the results and take all this as the unavoidable process before the dream comes true.

Shouldn't care too much about the results - just focus on what you can do - Chiaying Lee

If this was the attitude from a current MIT student, why shouldn't I follow?
